Provincial Strategic Planning 2016: Consultation Materials

Since 2004, the vision for public library services throughout British Columbia has been guided by the provincially developed Libraries Without Walls: a vision for BC Public Libraries. It has helped to set the provincial strategic priorities for the past decade and has served its purpose well by providing a solid framework and direction for realizing the vision. The Libraries Branch within the Ministry of Education has been tasked with leading the development of a renewed vision and Strategic Plan for public library service across the province. Along with partners and stakeholders involved in the public library sector we are now beginning that work.

Engagement and consultation will be a critical input to the Strategic Plan, alongside research, best practices and review of the current environment.
